After Supreme Court's green signal to Medical Council of India to go ahead with a single entrance exam for all medical courses in the country, many students from Maharashtra board were worried. Students thought they would miss out on the MHT-CET which is due to be held in May. But as TOI reported on March 18, this academic session will not see single medical entrance exam being implemented.
Students that TOI spoke to on Sunday were appearing for both AIPMT and MHT-CET and they realized that this could well be the last time they were doing so. "From next year, they will probably implement the single entrance. For state board students, AIPMT is very difficult but I am appearing to help me prepare well for MHT-CET," said Radhika, a Bhandara resident currently studying in the city. According to most State board students, today's paper was tough and many did not attempt questions for the fear of negative marking.
